Ready to Level project funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund will support the delivery of the East Birmingham Levelling Up Programme.
Ready to Level project co-ordination was lead partner Loconomy supported an Action Learning Network to enable the co-design and co-delivery of future programmes for the next 25 years to help East Birmingham residents to have improved life opportunities and services in key aspects of their lives including health, environment, education, employment, neighbourhoods and infrastructure.
Through participating in the project, community organisations gained skills to be able to participate in the future interventions supported under the Levelling Up programme.
Project aims:
- Increase participation of local community organisations in public sector reform (e.g. through efficiencies, partnership provision, service improvement etc) and the co-design of programmes to deliver Levelling Up impact for the long term.
- Engage local people in co-designing solutions, especially where they relate to equity and intersectionality and support their sustained involvement in community activity.
- Build local organisational and individual skills and unlock collaborative learning through an Action Learning Network approach.
- Develop knowledge and share learning from the project that other communities can apply to their own projects.
